I believe we are made to breathe deeply, move intentionally, sweat regularly and challenge ourselves daily. I believe in the healing power of food. From choosing ingredients, to cooking and preparing, serving it on the table and most importantly, eating and enjoying it, it’s all medicine.
Everything is medicine for us to become more conscious. For me, this is key: without consciousness, you may recover and feel better, but you won’t truly heal. The willingness to participate in the process is necessary for success.
You don’t know how good you can feel until you feel better.
I believe that we thrive on whole, living, real foods. I don’t prescribe to one particular diet and aside from specific allergies or diagnosed health conditions, I don’t advise anyone else to, either. I believe in curiously exploring what makes you feel good and I truly believe the answer can and does change often.
I believe in occasionally taking pause and gently clearing the body, mind and spirit of toxins. I follow the calendar of the seasons and the cycles of the moon. I believe that in the spaciousness of rest, the body speaks. I don’t believe in extremes, deprivation or sacrifices. I believe in dessert, and coffee, and manifesting life through action.
