Fighting for Wholeness // Aries New Moon 2020

Aries New Moon 4°12’ // March 24, 2020 ~ 2:28am PST

If you have a curiosity to go deeper, schedule a natal chart reading  and begin to use the cycles of time and space to gain self-awareness and deeper insight into your circumstances, purpose and direction.

Even the best laid plans are never certain, and though in the back of our heads we know -- it is in a time like now that we remember this truth.

Aries is the sign characterized as the fleeting moment of presence, unaware of what was, unaware of what will be. Aries is the individual, the part of us that only knows self. Much like a baby who must have its needs met to survive and thus is inherently selfish, the truth of Aries is that we would simply not survive if there wasn’t an element of selfishness in each of us. The question remains — what are we selfish about, and what must be done to progress even the most selfish of agendas? The base agenda for all of us, in some form, is self-preservation. At some level, this is the necessity of life - at the end of the day, it is you and the judge, or you and the reckoner.

To advance the agenda of self-preservation, however, we cannot believe we live in a vacuum or a silo. If I take all of the resources for myself I will create a dynamic where others are desperate for resources and ironically, I am less safe overall. This moon, the first of the zodiacal calendar is a reminder that while we are sovereign in our choices, we have a social responsibility to each other - we are each a piece of a social fabric. We are safer together, sharing resources, then we are apart, hoarding necessities. This Virus is illustrating a bigger singularity that is at play — an infinite understanding and continually expanding understanding of one.

We are one planet within a larger system.
We are one system within a much larger galaxy.
We are one galaxy within a universe.
We are one universe within infinite number of multiverses.

Aries is the One. The One organism. The One community. The One world. The One galaxy, The One Universe, The One Multiverse. Healing, integration and service to the world does not come by escaping or of evading the self, rather by going deeper, healing, and integrating through radical embodiment and unapologetic self-reverence in the most selfishly selfless of ways.

As the moon shifts into Aries, we're being called to make a reclamation — of self, of unity, of service.

This New Moon is conjunct Chiron.

Chiron ~ an astroid that reveals where our suffering lies… and, through the healing of that suffering, a glimpse into how we may pass the light on through service. Chiron is our wound - from childhood, or inherited from before. This wound, it hurts and it hurts and it hurts, until living moves us to hold it and nurture it and reconcile our pain. Without this reclamation, we loop in cycles of self-inflicted pain. And yes, many do and many will. But some of us, we know that the only way to transcend our pain is to go deeper. And so we do - this is the hero’s journey, the path towards wholeness.

Understanding Chiron is the key to healing our deepest wounds. Its greatest blessing comes through our work to integrate the parts of us fragmented in the fray of existence. The most unsanitary aspects of living exist beneath an invisible surface - the division that veils our deepest connection to each other. We exist as individuals only to the extent that we exist together.

As this virus is demonstrating, we cling to each other and we scramble for each other, even in an age of social distance. Flocking to portals of connection, we rise together in a recognition we cannot exist apart.

The journey of healing and of wholeness comes in waves and spurts and cycles. We move at different paces and in different ways, yet each and all, we share the same sky, we breathe the same air, we carry the same wounds of separation.

Chiron in Aries is brave. It calls upon the courage and spirit of Mars to fight for what feels impossible or invisible to heal so that each may integrate into wholeness every part until all are united and in support of the whole organism.

Inquiry ::
what are you willing to stand for?
where can you step into leadership?

The New Moon and Chiron are Square the Lunar South and North Node.

by some called the axis of karma or destiny, the South Node (where you’ve been) and North Node (where you’re going) have been in Capricorn and Cancer since November 7, 2018.

For two years the astrology has been maturing us along this Capricorn / Cancer axis. Though Capricorn and Cancer have been on stage quite a bit longer then that, the goal of the nodes here and now is a soul’s journey home. With a goal of bolstering our sense of security, the fleet of planets in Capricorn have been knocking down the systems and structures that overvalue a public world of appearances and amassment in order to move us home, to spaces where we can remove mask and remember.

It’s getting dark. It’s time to come home.

Fears, insecurities, difficulties — they are there. The truth of this time is an understanding that they always were, that they will be, until and through the process moves through. A child having a tantrum will continue to cry until the wave breaks. External silencing does nothing but create an internal scream that becomes an internal belief that becomes an internal wound. Eventually, the cry will come out and without care, often sideways. This is a Chiron story. This is a birth story.

What this child needs is not to be silenced or to have their pain passed by for the sake of appearances or convenience. What this child needs is permission. What we all need is permission ~ to tantrum, to fear, to feel.

Allowance

We must not silence ourselves from the infection of insecurity and inequity that moves virulently through this world.

We are meant to experience the wounds of these times. We are safest in the honesty of allowance. There is a collective loss and a community trauma that we are playing out here together. Let us support that and honor that and welcome that, understanding that full embodiment of the collective creates a system in support of health and of healing and of wholeness. I can hold your trauma beacuse I can hold my trauma and where I cannot, that is where my work lies.

Clock out from the big world that does and tune into the inside world that is. Stay home. Take shelter.

May we all be so blessed.
